3 years ago today, my book, “The Choice is Yours,” was released from the grip of my inner “Perfectionist” and into the world!! Writing a book, or doing anything where you’re pouring your full self into it, is vulnerable. It took me 10 years to actually get this done. And there was one point where I finally made the CHOICE to stop fussing over the minutia and my own fears, which was just keeping this message and these tools hidden, and share what I had to give with all of you. CHOOSING to get out of my own way, to trust that I, and what I had written was enough, and to release any attachment to the outcome, all while staying aligned with my purpose - to create connection for myself and others - was the teaching of the book in motion. I continue to be a an imperfect student of this work, as it’s a practice, not a destination, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep learning and growing and supporting others to do the same every day. 18 years ago today I became certified as a coach. My gratitude runs over and over for every client, every challenge, every triumph, every lesson, and every person who supported me along the way. I am beyond humbled and astounded that I get to live this blessed and full life every single day. I don’t have enough words to describe how meaningful this moment is for me. I very much believe and live by the knowing that each of us has a blueprint within and that is what is seeking to be expressed in this world. To take your space and live your purpose is a radical act. Hear me when I say… It’s your TURN 💫 You and your gifts are wanted and needed. The time is now. Love and appreciate you all! ❤️🎉🥂🤩

When things feel out of control, it’s easy to shut down, scroll endlessly, or lash out. But it’s vital that you stay aware of what direction you’re heading.

This moment is asking each of us to get intentional:

✨ To TURN inward and notice what you’re feeling
✨ To TURN outward and connect rather than disconnect
✨ To TURN forward and choose the future you want to create

Rather than take sides, we each have an opportunity to take ownership for how we show up, for the conversations we have, and for the world we choose to build together.

I’m on a deadline to write a talk (more on that soon!!)

But as a PhD in Procrastination, I've been masterfully tuning OUT and avoiding it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So, in a panic on Saturday, I called my speaking coach, the brilliant Stacy Huston. She talked me off the ledge and within minutes, I felt clear, inspired, and ready to go.

With a pep in my step, I said, “This is great! I’ll get you a draft by Thursday.”

Without missing a beat, she said, “So I’ll look for that in my inbox on Monday.”

👀 My pep left.

Was she out of her mind?! That was less than 48 hours away and I hadn’t written a word!!

The screaming in my head continued:

“You can’t do this! You don’t know what you’re doing! You don’t have the goods!”

Thankfully, I caught myself before this inner assault leveled me and I quickly realized I was experiencing anxiety by fear and perfectionism.

Can you relate? (And if not, who are you and what's your secret?)

The part of me that was tuning OUT and procrastinating wasn’t lazy or unmotivated—it was scared.

❌ Scared it / I wouldn’t be good enough.
❌ Scared I’d get it wrong.
❌ Scared of what might happen if I actually delivered!

And instead of tuning IN to that truth and working through it… I was tuning OUT:

📬 Checking email
📺 Watching the news
🚨 Creating “urgent” distractions

That tension between tuning IN and tuning OUT is very real—and it’s what we’re exploring at this month’s T.U.R.N. Table:

This is my guilty face.

Like when a puppy looks away while you're asking her if she ate the sofa.

The answer is yes. Yes, I ate the sofa. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve been so intentional about tuning out the noise this year—especially the news because it hijacks my focus, my energy, and honestly… my sanity.

But this week? I slipped.

Like an addict, I found myself watching my old “friends.” "Just for a second," I told myself. I missed them. And I need to stay informed, right?

The second those familiar faces showed up on the screen, the “high” kicked and I was completely off the wagon.

By the time I looked up, it was the top of the hour. Same headlines. Same images. Same chaos. New host.

That’s when I caught myself.

I tuned IN and turned OFF the TV.
