I'm not going to lie, I love geeking out on smart home gadgets and appliances.

Setting up my coffee maker the night before so there's a warm delicious cup waiting for me when I wake up fills me with joy.

Telling Alexa to wake me up at 5am to my favorite song.. umm Yes please!

There are so many cool new gadgets to buy for your home and most of them really perform as advertised, is the future really cool? or are we getting a bit more lazy?

What do you think?

Smart home sound off! What's your favorite smart home tech in your house?

This event is for those of you who, like me, love nature and being in the outdoors.

One of the items high up on my bucket list is climbing to the summit of Kilimanjaro. If any of you share this same endeavor, we are in luck!!

On April 10th at 10 am, Donovan Pacholl,
an adventure guide and founder of Embark Exploration Co. will host a FREE class on everything you need to know to plan and execute your trip to this majestic place.

The class will be held virtually, allowing you to join from the comfort of your home.

We were passing by Metropolitan Ave by Forest Hills and came across this small but beautiful little gem called Elly's Place (Sunrise Market)

So, we decided to walk in. The first thing we noticed was the selection of books they had for people to read while they enjoy their drinks. We then heard a cheerful and friendly voice greet us. The lady running the register was so nice and friendly, she ran us through the menu and we picked our smoothies.

All I can say is WOW! they were incredible. I love stumbling into little spots like this one and seeing the love and attention to detail that they put into their business.

If you happen to be by Metropolitan Ave. in Forest Hills, do yourselves a favor and come check them out. I love supporting our local businesses who love what they do!

Being a proud Queens resident, I love bragging about all the fantastic things that come out of our beautiful borough. Today we would like to honor all the great film studios based here.

Queens has been the chosen location for so many brilliant and noteworthy productions, which include some of the following:

- S*x and the City
- The Sopranos
- Sesamee Street
- Gangs of New York
- The Devil Wears Prada
And the list goes on and on and on.

With the new commercial lease signed by Apple + Studios in Astoria, we know that world renowned films and TV shows will continue to come out of QUEENS!

I can't wait to see what keeps coming out of these studios and continue bragging about .

Which one is your favorite movie filmed in Queens?

Happy St. Patrick's Day! In honor of the big day, this is your friendly reminder to wear green... and to check out one of my all-time favorite cocktails! The famous Irish Coffee! ๐Ÿฅƒโ˜•
Created by the fantastic chef Joe Sheridan in 1943, the Irish Coffee has been a staple drink for everyone (over the age 21+) to enjoy during cold winter days.

According to legend, the name was coined after an American passenger asked Joe:

"Hey Buddy, is this Brazilian coffee?"

Where Joe replied:
"No, that's Irish Coffee."๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

Since then, it has become a staple among cocktail enthusiasts and everyone how enjoys a good drink.

Here is my favorite recipe, it's so easy:

IRISH COFFEE:

- 1 Tspn of brown sugar (Demerara)
- 1 oz of Irish whiskey (My favorite of all time is RedBreast 12 for its unique taste and oat like finishes, but any other Irish Whiskey will do fine)
- 3.5oz of black Coffee
- Topped-off with whip cream
- Last but not least FRESH grated nutmeg (a very crucial ingredient)

I hope you get to try this recipe to help you celebrate St. Paddy's day!

Cheers!!
