Gabriel Martinelli speaks after joining Al-Hilal
Gabriel Martinelli has spoken for the first time since joining Al-Hilal from Arsenal.
The Brazilian forward joined Arsenal as a boy and leaves as a Premier League champion and the club's record sale.
Speaking after his move to Saudi Arabia, Martinelli said it was an emotional moment.
"It’s emotional. I came to Arsenal as a boy with a dream, and I’m leaving as a champion. If the decision was completely mine, I would have stayed, but sometimes football makes decisions for you.
I’m proud to have won the Premier League and happy to leave Arsenal as their record sale.
Most importantly, I’m grateful to the fans, my teammates and everyone at the club. Arsenal will always be a part of my heart."
Martinelli leaves after winning the league title with Arsenal and sealing a record move to Al-Hilal.
