Shotokan Karate of Staten Island is the main dojo of John Mullin sensei 9th dan, who is also the executive chairman of the World Traditional Karate Organization. Mullin sensei began his training in 1960 and continues to train regularly with his black belts. In addition to teaching his class he travels internationally conducting karate seminars. A retired teacher Mullin sensei is an adjunct professor at Kingsborough Community College CUNY.
