Josh Minott could be Brooklyn’s next breakout star, and his path to Most Improved Player may have already started.

After being acquired by the Nets last season, Minott showed flashes of a much bigger role, averaging 10.8 points and 1.3 steals over 16 games despite battling an ankle injury.

He also erupted for a career-high 24 points against Atlanta while adding three steals and three blocks, showcasing the two-way upside that could make him a legitimate MIP candidate.

“The talent is there, and we know the scoring upside,” Connor Long said on The Brooklyn Pod, picking Minott as his Most Improved Player candidate.
