Many people have come to us and ask why they aren't losing weight (or gaining muscle). There is SO MUCH conflicting information out there about health and fitness so let us break it down for you (if a little oversimplified)
For weight loss - eat fewer calories consistently than you burn
For weight gain - eat more calories consistently than you burn
Easy right?!
WRONG.
Not only is accurately calculating your daily calorie needs borderline impossible outside of a lab (we can make vague calculations) but food labelling is also wildly inaccurate AND your body is an adaptive bastard. You will NOT outsmart it, so play nice and work with it.
To compound these problems most people on a weight loss regime overestimate calories burnt (that spin class/circuit class/random boutique gym bu****it class that cost $40) did NOT burn 1000 calories.
They are lying sacks of s**t.
Like half of the fitness industry, knowingly or not.
So, what to do? 21 Day Detox? SuperMegaTurbo Ab Blast? Hours of cardio?
NO. You are smarter than that or you wouldn't be reading this!
It is very simple, but not necessarily easy. It's definitely not instant gratification. Guess what though?
