Meet Breonna Taylor. From Louisville, Kentucky. She was an emergency room technician who had been fighting on the frontlines helping her community in the fight against Covid-19. She was murdered on March 13th, 2020 by police officers who broke into her home and shot her. Today would have been her 27th birthday. We gave out over 10,000 reusable/washable masks to responsible New Yorkers, & although we ran out in an hour, there are more giveaways taking place all week throughout the five boroughs. With the postponed & the Popular Brooklyn Half cancelled, you might be feeling down, even if you "get it" in context of the global pandemic. Keep that perspective. This is the right thing to do; we need to protect ourselves as a society and keep our loved ones safe. And remember our who will he too busy and/or exhausted to take care of us during recreational road races. Stay safe and strong and healthy.
