Hard work is required. Suffering isn't.
For years I cut out every food I liked, trained every day until I was broken down, and slept less to get more done.
I was working hard enough. I just had the wrong system.
What actually worked was simple. Enough protein to hold onto muscle. Lifting three times a week with purpose. Walking daily and treating sleep like it's part of the plan.
Eat. Train. Recover.
240 lbs down to 160. Eighty pounds gone and kept off for over two years.
Not because I suffered more. Because I stopped making it harder than it needed to be.
