What are you looking for in a workout?

Coming from dance, when I discovered barre over two decades ago, I fell in love with the way it felt and how connected I was to my body.

Last night, just after I finished creating this carousel, my sweet Aunt Terry peacefully passed away.

I’ll always cherish the time I got to spend with her… and I’ll continue acknowledging the butterflies. 🦋

I’ve found that the more open I am to noticing the little gifts in everyday life, the more abundantly they seem to appear.

The best age is the one you’re at now!

When I started barre in NYC in the early 2000’s, I remember being impressed that my own teacher was turning 40! (Like, Wow!😉)
✨
I worked with pregnant mamas who would seemingly bounce right back into class after delivery, and beautiful older moms taking class with their adult daughters.
✨
Also the ageless Rock stars who had followed my teachers from the Lotte Berk Method studios- and had been working out that hard since I was in elementary school! 😳
Now here I am in my mid-50’s with a
Fluid Power Barre class of babes from ages 19-82!
And I’m here to tell you:
✨This stuff works!!✨
Not just a workout (but also, the Best workout!), this is movement for LIFE!
✨✨✨✨
Thank you Saturday Crew for representing at all your awesome ages! ❤️👏💪
