100% of the graduating Class of 2026 is officially committed to a college or university.

A celebratory dinner honoring these seniors on Tuesday night brought together families and staff for a profoundly moving evening. Caregivers spoke proudly of their children’s immense growth, staff reflected on the participants' years of relentless dedication, and StreetSquashers shared heartfelt thank-yous with the parents who supported them along the way. The night served as a beautiful tribute to years of hard work, sending these remarkable students off into their next chapters with the full backing of their community.

The program year might be over, but our students aren't slowing down! Squash practice continues as they prepare for the upcoming SEA Individual Nationals this weekend.

During Saturday's practice, the team at Spear Physical Therapy generously provided free assessments for our participants, which we paired with fitness and skill testing to ensure everyone is in peak condition.

A huge thank you to Spear Physical Therapy for their continued commitment to the health, wellness, and success of our StreetSquashers!

Our 2025–2026 school year programming culminated on Friday as we gathered with our participants and their families for our end of year awards ceremony. We witnessed firsthand the incredible growth of these student-athletes, who poured their hearts into achieving excellence both in the classroom and on the court. It was a privilege to celebrate the hard work, effort, and heart they put in all year long.

At StreetSquash, we believe that youth sports and academic development must go hand in hand with mental resilience. A student cannot perform their best on the court or in the classroom if they are carrying heavy burdens at home.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to highlight the incredible work happening behind the scenes in our building. StreetSquash puts an explicit emphasis on youth mental health by embedding a dedicated, comprehensive support system directly into our programming. We employ two full-time social workers and a brilliant group of social work interns who provide everything from initial needs assessments and one on one counseling to life skills workshops and identity-specific peer groups.

Our students say it best: having a safe space to process life's ups and downs lets them breathe easier, build up their emotional regulation, and find their voice. πŸ’¬πŸ’›

Hiring dedicated mental health staff ensures our youth never have to face life's challenges alone. Watch the video to hear more about how our team is changing the game on and off the courts!

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, StreetSquash partnered with Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF) and Boys & Girls Club of America for our second annual Wellness Field Day in Harlem. πŸ’š

More than 100 young people, families, and community members joined us for a day of movement, mindfulness, and fun, with activities including squash, nutrition workshops, massages, face painting, and more.

At StreetSquash, supporting our students means supporting the whole person. Creating space for rest, connection, joy, and self-care is just as important as what happens in the classroom and on the court.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day special!

Volunteer with StreetSquash during Summer Discovery in Harlem!

If you play squash, join our participants on the court to teach the game and sharpen their skills.

You can also help campers master reading comprehension to stay ahead during the summer break.

For those 18 and older, we need energetic and responsible chaperones for weekly swim lessons and local field trips. All volunteers must provide a current resume and a physical from their doctor to participate.

Volunteers may sign up for multiple shifts. Summer camp runs weekdays from 9am to 4pm beginning July 6th.

Academic Tutoring & Squash take place Monday - Wednesday

Swimming Lessons are on Thursdays.

Fields Trips are on Fridays.
