We are incredibly grateful to the Ballet Support Foundation for including our Joffrey Ballet School Pre-professional Trainees in this special performance at New York City Center as part of Dance Against Cancer.

Trainees Sydney Williams and Destiny Mills had the honor of performing "Vingt-Deux", choreographed by Briana J. Reed with an original score by Crystal Caines, as part of an evening dedicated to celebrating resilience, community, and the power of the arts.

This performance held particular significance for our Joffrey family as it was dedicated to the memory of our beloved Artistic Director, Jo Matos. To see Jo's legacy honored on the New York City Center stage made the evening especially meaningful for all who knew and loved her.

Our sincere thanks to the Ballet Support Foundation, Lola Abigail Koch, Dance Against Cancer, New York City Center, Erin Fogarty, and Daniel Ulbricht for honoring Jo's memory and for including our dancers in such a powerful and inspiring event.

We are deeply honored to have shared in this beautiful tribute and to have been part of an evening that celebrated both the strength of the human spirit and the impact of dance.

Taught by Irene Hogarth-Cimino and Paula Alvarez , these classes provide an opportunity for our faculty to assess each dancer’s current level and place them in the class best suited to support their individual growth, development, and goals.

We loved welcoming so many new faces into the studio and are excited for the journeys ahead. Learn more about our Children’s & Youth Ballet Programs by visiting our website.
