A club of approximately twenty members that runs about one fishing trip a month from April thru November in the Metro New York Area.

We had a steady pick of Blackfish today on the Shamrock Charterboat. Unfortunately the majority of which did not measure up to the 16 inch size limit. There still were a decent amount of keepers. The pool was taken by Jerry with a 3lb 4oz’er. This concludes our 2025 fishing season. Our thanks to all who contributed to making it a success especially Captain Pat Barrett.

Today we had the rare combination of glorious weather and fantastic fishing. There was a steady pick of average sized Porgies and a good amount of Weakfish which was a pleasant surprise. The pool was a tie between Ted and Mikie with their two pound Weaks. Our thanks to Captain Pat and his crew, Brendan and Joe.

All the Fluke you can possibly handle but picking up a keeper was difficult to come by. Except our loyal member, Siri, who wins the pool with a nice doormat which weighed in at 4lbs 10oz.

On a beautiful early summer evening we had a full boat for some relaxing Bottom Fishing with Captain Pat and his fantastic crew, Luca and Richie. After anchoring up in Oyster Bay we started picking away at mainly Porgies. We also saw short Weakfish and a Fluke which were all carefully released back to the water, Sandsharks, Sea Robins and one Cocktail Blue. Richie D wins the pool with a 1lb 5oz Porgy. Although not very big for a pool winner, there were a good number of quality fish over one pound. See the photos. A fun time was had by all.

On chilly morning with another stiff west breeze we set out on The Shamrock in search of Jumbo Porgies. Although not as intense as our trip two weeks ago, we had a steady pick of all size Porgies, Seabass and Sea Robins. Ted won the pool with a 1lb 8oz Porgy and donated his winnings to the club. We thank Ted for his generosity.
