Baby month is hereā¦I posted this is exact reel asking parents if this morning would still be possible once Cruz arrives, the answer is I have now found for myselfā¦
Nearly 3 years later⦠the baby is here, heās 2 years old, and the morning routine is still essential.
Back then I wondered whether becoming a parent would still allow me 45 minutes each morning for myself.
Now I realise those 45 minutes are probably more important than ever.
Not because I want to escape the chaos of being a parent, I love it but because that little bit of time allows me to wake up properly, reflect, educate myself, move my body and get my head in the right place for the day ahead.
Before the house wakes up.
Before Dad mode kicks in.
Before work starts.
Before the plans change and the unexpected turns up.
Itās my time to reset, reflect, learn and prepare.
My routine might not always be perfect and some mornings life simply gets in the way, but Iāve learned that making time for yourself isnāt selfish it helps me show up better for everything and everyone else throughout the day.
45 minutes for myself before I give the rest of the day to everyone else.
Nearly 3 years on⦠Iād say the morning routine is more important now than it was back then. š
