WFA Expands into New Jersey.
The Women's Football Alliance is pleased to announce that the Tri-State Warriors have officially signed on as a full member and will be playing in the WFA beginning with the 2022 season. Based in New Brunswick, New Jersey (home of Rutgers University, and 28 miles from Newark), the Warriors are set to jump straight into Division 2 with a core of seasoned veterans and an experience coaching staff. Coaches Rich Harrigan and Lybrant Robinson have an extensive coaching background in the WFA with the NY Sharks, Philadelphia Phantomz, and Boston Militia. The Warriors are expected to quickly become Division 2 Championship contenders fighting for their spot in Canton in 2022.
Marking women's tackle football's return to the state of New Jersey, the Warriors are excited to be joining the world's largest women's football league and all the opportunities therein. They look forward to the rivalries ahead with fellow Tri-State teams the New York Wolves and Western Connecticut Hawks, as well as Northeast showdowns with the New York Knockout, Northern Connecticut Nightmare, Harrisburg Havoc, Baltimore Nighthawks and other teams to be announced. With Central Jersey and the entire Garden State behind them, the Warriors are set to put their battle-plan into motion and make a serious campaign on the road to Canton.
