Tersia Serrada Rapilon (TSR) Kali is a martial arts system founded on the principles of preservation, integration, and evolution of the Filipino classical arts known as kali, eskrima, and arnis. Students will learn some of the most revered and respected styles of these arts such as Lightning Scientific, Cinco Teros, Kasilagan, Doblete Rapilon, and Modern Arnis amongst others. This will also serve

to enhance and complement the mano-mano empty hand techniques that are also taught as part of the curriculum. This system is but a humble tribute to the legacy and spirit of the warrior eskrimadors of the past, through the integration of the styles and philosophies that were passed down generation to generation. The goal of which is to preserve what they taught, as well as allow students the flexibility and creativity to choose how to absorb and internalize these arts, and make it their own.

New lecture-presentation by Maestro Ramon Martinez on the origins of the French foil as a training tool for Small-sword and its subsequent development into its own art, followed by a Q/A.
This is, in my opinion, the most comprehensive treatment of the subject yet put before the public.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

For the first time in 120 years, Colonel Thomas Monstery lies in an unmarked grave no more. His official U.S.V.A. granite headstone has just been installed. This came months after a decision by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs finally recognizing Colonel Monstery's military service in the Mexican War after a delay of nearly 175 years. This official decision is due to the dedicated efforts of Frank Jastrzembski, a historian, author, and researcher who took an interest in the Colonel. Frank manages "Shrouded Veterans", a nonprofit mission to identify and/or repair the graves of Mexican War and Civil War veterans, manages two Facebook Groups, WWI Faces and Graves of Mexican War, and writes the blog "Emerging Civil War." I strongly encourage you to support his work.

Thank you Frank, we can only assume that Colonel Monstery is smiling down from somewhere on high!

For those interested in visiting the grave and/or headstone, it lies in Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois.
