Englewood Jr. Track & Field Club

Englewood Jr. Track & Field Club Englewood Jr Track & Field Team Englewood Jr. Track and Field Team was founded in 1985 by Harold Ware and has been a stable for youth of Englewood ever since.

The team is made up of athletes ages 7-16 that can compete in all track events the 100m dash to the 3000m run. They also are trained in the race walk, hurdles, long and triple jump, plus all throwing events. In 2000 the team was taking over by myself Cherie Ware-Powell due to the failing health of my dad. I recruited my close friends Eugenia Walker-Robinson, Alana Alleyne and Jerome C Anderson to

assist in coaching. We are all volunteer coaches. The program runs from March to August. We practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 5:30- 7:30 with meets on Sundays all around Bergen County. In June we start training for the post season. The USATF Junior Olympics, UASTF Regionals and The USATF Junior Nationals. These meets are based on qualification and are held all over the US. Our Team has runners the qualify every year!
