K*mdo/Kendo is an ancient form of martial art and means “The way of the sword”. K*mdo is imbued with cultural and philosophical thought of both current society and the historic past. The pursuit and practice of mastery in turn contributes to a competitive spirit while respecting tenets of courtesy, respect, sportsmanship and fair-play. K*mdo is practiced with Jukdo (bamboo sword) and Hogu (protect

ive armor). It is widely practiced by all age groups in many countries across the world and the sport aspects of K*mdo practice seek to build strong character in its practitioners. Our teaching philosophy has been directed by Eun S. Gwack, The Grand Master of 7th DAN. Dae K*m K*mdo Club (Dae K*m Kwan) is a member of Korea K*mdo Association through a regional association unit, Eastern United States Korea K*mdo Association (EUSKKA).

Sean D. Kim, 3 Dan began his kumdo training at Dae K*m K*mdo Club under the direction of Kyosa E.S. Gwack, 7 Dan.

"Grandmaster E.S. Gwack has been the most influential person in my kumdo life and I continue to challenge me to give my best."

His goal as a senior instructor is to help students grasp the basics and find their own joy in kumdo.
He has a lovely daughter and a wife, who happens to train at Dae K*m K*mdo Club, too.
