If you feel your quads, you are doing it wrong to begin with, so IF the quads quit it’s because, they are reserves NOT leaders on any run. Your GLUTES should be leading so your hips can fire, spine can be mobile, knee can hinge, hamstrings can extend and your foot can push off and your shoulder is supported…, so if that’s not the case, that’s why you’re in pain, injured, tanking and believing that’s what running is.
Are you a quad runner? Quad dominant?
Also, since no one fuels as an endurance athlete, it’s not sustainable and burns a ton more energy, so you lose more glycogen and start eating muscle to continue to run.
I don’t know where you’re going with no muscle. 🙋🏻♀️
