It’s a damn shame that a lot of fields in the Bronx, NY have been neglected. Whether it’s littered with empty bottles of alcohol or just huge craters like this in the outfield, my girls do not complain because most feel that they don’t deserve any better. They just want to play! But it angers me that these are the conditions they must play in. Years ago, my previous teams played on concrete fields with broken glass scattered everywhere. This shouldn’t be the norm. I will continue to advocate for my daughters in softball and hopefully we can have a field that we can call home. @ Boogie Down Bronx
