Taoist Arts Center The Taoist Arts Center New York began in 1990 out of a long term commitment to the internal arts. Our students come from all walks of life. Come by check us out!

We look forward to seeing you at our East Village location or online in our public or private classes. Founded in 1990, the Taoist Arts Center grew from a lifelong love of the internal arts and a wish to create a welcoming space where people can learn, share, and grow through Tai Chi, Chi Kung (qigong), and Meditation.

Gong Hay Fat Choy! Happy Lunar New Year

February 17th welcomes the Year of the Fire Horse: A year of energy, passion, and momentum, favoring action over hesitation and bold moves over playing it safe.

The Horse symbolizes agility, confidence, and success. Respect its power and it will carry you forward; ignore it and expect resistance. Expect rapid change, fresh starts, and forward motion in 2026 as old systems fall away and new ones emerge.

Whether you’re a Horse or simply riding the wave, this year promises excitement, courage, and growth.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and successful Year of the Fire Horse!
