We love these woman! 

Big things are being announced by Hunter College.

For the second year in a row, Hunter has been selected as a CDI host site, welcoming visionary choreographers Hope Boykin and Kayla Farrish for 2026–27 residencies.

Over the coming year, these acclaimed artists will create new work in Hunter studios while engaging students through master classes, workshops, and public performances, bringing world-class artistry and the creative process directly to campus.

From Hope Boykin's celebrated career with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Complexions Contemporary Ballet to Kayla Farrish's groundbreaking dance-theater work praised by The New York Times, Hunter students will learn from two of the field's most compelling artistic voices.

Thank you, Hunter for celebrating this partnership. Here's to another inspiring year of dance.

Series #2 of The Reckoning, Commissioned by award winning filmmaker Ava Duvernay, existing as a film commissioned by ARRAY’s Law Enforcement Accountability Project (LEAP) and a live performance that premiered in 2022 at Works & Process at the Guggenheim, The Reckoning is choreographer and director Francesca Harper’s response to the 2010 killing of 7-year-old Aiyana Mo’Nay Stanley-Jones at the hands of Detroit law enforcement. In collaboration with composer Nona Hendryx, Harper has created an expressive historical record of injustice as she explores the relationship between erasure and commodification in the media’s coverage of brutality against bodies of color. Dancers from FHP Collective and Gibney Dance perform in costumes by Elias Gurrola with lighting design by Itohan Edoloyi.

Tonight was a night I will never forget! A toast with Prosecco in Rimini, Italy, November 1st, 2023, on my mother’s birthday.It was the first night I shared memories of Mom, our beloved Denise Jefferson with my cherished artists of in thirteen years! It felt like an important moment, a healing moment. In turn they shared their own stories and our powerful continuum was nourished. Mom would be so proud, I think Alvin would too! I am truly honored to be a part of our important legacy!
