This past weekend at the 2026 USAT New York State Championships was a great success and a strong representation of our Taekwondo community.

This event was proudly hosted by the New York State Taekwondo Federation, with tremendous support from USA Taekwondo.

A special thank you to Grandmaster Suk Jung Kim, our Referee Chairman, and Master Elshikh, along with all of the referees, for your hard work and dedication in making this event possible.
Thank you to Sherman, our tournament MC, for keeping the event running smoothly throughout the day.

To all of the parents, coaches, and volunteers, your support behind the scenes is what makes events like this possible.

We appreciate everyone who contributed to a successful tournament.

We are excited to welcome you to tomorrow’s competition. Please review the full Sunday schedule below and plan to arrive early to allow time for check-in and preparation.

SPARRING
8:00 AM – Seniors (Black Belts), Ultra (Black Belts), Dragons (All Belts), Tigers (All Belts)
11:00 AM – Youth (All Belts), Cadets (All Belts)
2:00 PM – Juniors (Black/Color), Seniors (Color), Ultra (Color)

FORMS / BREAKING / WEAPONS / FREESTYLE
8:00 AM – All Breaking, All Weapons, Freestyle (Under 17 & 17+)
8:30 AM – Dragons, Tigers, Cadets Individual (M/F)
10:00 AM – Youth Individual (M/F), U30/U40/U50/U60/U65 Individual
11:30 AM – Junior Individual (M/F), Cadet Black Belt Pairs/Teams, Youth Black Belt Pairs/Teams
1:00 PM – Junior Pairs/Teams, U30–U65 Pairs, U30 Teams, Traditional Poomsae

Please ensure you arrive at least 30–45 minutes before your division time. Events may run ahead of schedule.

ATTENTION 2025–2026 USA NATIONAL TEAM MEMBERS
All USA National Team Members (Kyorugi & Poomsae) representing New York:

We will be holding our annual recognition ceremony for all national team athletes during the lunch break at the 2026 USAT New York State Championships.

🥋 Please come prepared:
• Wear your USA National Team Jacket
• Must be registered for the 2026 USAT New York State Championships (Athlete, Coach, Referee, or Volunteer)

We will also be recognizing former USA National Team Members and Coaches.

Please wear your National Team jacket so we can take a group photo together.
