Bon Yul HMK TKD was originally founded as Unity TaeKwonDo School of Martial Arts on November of 2002 by SabumNim Marco Rosales in The Bronx, NYC. as a traditional TaeKwonDo school that offered martial arts instruction for children, teens and adults. Besides TaeKwonDo, we also offer Karate, Kick-Boxing, Weapons, Self Defense and Cardio KickBoxing. Our mission is to give all our students a higher l
evel of confidense, in both our dojang and everyday life. In 2012, Unity TKD change its name to Bon Yul Han Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do Dojang. Bon Yul TKD has worked with:

Our role in after-school programs was to provide children with better options and give them a chance to participate and see for themselves what traditional martial arts is all about. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on November 17, 2022. Our style of TaeKwonDo is considered traditional, with a blend of ITF (Chang Hon) forms and Okinawan Karate Katas. Our reason behind using Okinawan katas is for the simple fact that these katas were first practiced by Korean soldiers during the Pacific War (a.k.a. World War II), these Korean soldiers would later become some of the founders of the original Kwans (Schools). Our Korean forms have been modified (by movement only) to compete with the strong Japanese stylist in tournaments. We do have a high level of respect for both the ITF, WTF and any other TaeKwonDo organization. This level of respect is extended to all styles as we are all seeking perfection in our own particular art. Class Schedule:
Currently Bon Yul Han Moo Kwan classes are available at America's Finest Karate & Kickboxing Academy in the East Village Mondays & Wednesdays and at Martial Arts Family Studio in SoHo Thursday-Saturday.
