Luigi's Jazz Centre

Luigi's Jazz Centre thanks the Fini Dance Festival for inviting us to serve on its faculty for their international dancers at the Alvin Ailey School. This event happened last weekend. Most of the 71 students were from Italy, some from other countries, and all were over the age of fifteen.
Many of the dancers were familiar with the Luigi exercises but they had not experienced his authentic choreographies!
They surprised me and my assistant Julia Korotchenko with big, warm, heartfelt applause during the combo and after!

I am grateful to have worked again with Antonio Fini, Michael Mao and Julia!
Mille, mille, mille grazie to my mentor Luigi for reminding me of our joyful classes in Amalfi.

ON THE TOWN Miss Turnstiles Ballet

This is a clear shot of Vera-Ellen with Luigi of Luigi's Jazz Centre in profile, he has his back to his dancer friend- Lee Scott. Luigi, also known as Eugene Louis, is also in her sportsminded part of this ballet as well.
His professional career started after his bad accident then his own rehabilitation, this was Luigi's second film but his first with the iconic Gene Kelly.
