Our new Afternoon Club campaign launched this week! You may have seen these animations in your IG feeds and IRL on subway screens, but what you may not know is the unique story behind the work.

Afternoon Club is our unique afterschool program specially designed to keep the learning going – but a bit more low-key and a lot more fun. We chill, have a snack, play, and have projects about the greatest city in the world: New York City! With this in mind, we wanted to celebrate the city and our creative spirit 💫

Using materials entirely from our classrooms (pencils, crayons, toys, markers, erasers) we worked with a mighty team of creatives to make these materials come to life. Creativity is key at NY Preschool — and as New Yorkers, we can make art out of anything! 💯🎨

Swipe through some of our favorite moments making our Afternoon Club campaign and get inspired to see our city the way we learn about it at Afternoon Club! Learn more and enroll via link in bio.

The first day of preschool can come with some BIG feelings, for little ones and grown-ups. 💜

A smooth transition starts before you even reach the classroom. Keep goodbyes short and sweet, bring calm and positive energy, and give yourself a little extra time in the morning to keep things fun and stress-free.

And don’t forget to celebrate afterward! 🎉

Here’s to a happy first day and an exciting school year ahead from all of us at New York Preschool! ✏️🍎

We’re moving into the weekend with our Brooklyn neighbor Dancewave! Today at Park Slope-Gowanus, our summer campers explored dance techniques while creating their own movements, shapes, and sequences.

By connecting letters and words to movement, campers also strengthened memory and recognition through creative play. This is a perfect example of how we make learning active, imaginative, and fun.

Final week of summer camp is next week!

At NY Preschool & Kids Club, we're always working on our numbers. 🔢🏀

Tonight's lesson? Counting down the final minutes of the Knicks game.

7 minutes left.
8 points to make up.
1 team we're cheering for.

Whether we're counting blocks, practicing number recognition, or learning that perseverance matters until the very end, our students know that every number tells a story.

So while our little Knicks fans are getting ready for bed, we're keeping an eye on the scoreboard and rooting for a comeback.
GO NY GO NY GO! 🧡💙🏀

Meet Head of School Marcus at Tribeca ✨

Stepping into a new role always comes with new beginnings and for Marcus, his first year at Tribeca has been shaped by the warmth of its community.

From day one, the welcoming environment has created a space where connection comes naturally. It’s that sense of belonging that continues to inspire him to show up fully each day not just as a leader, but as a steady, supportive presence for families and children alike.

For Marcus, being Head of School means more than guiding a program it means being a pillar for a community that has already given so much in return 🌿

At NY Preschool & Kids Club, every day is built around intentional play, small class sizes, and teachers who genuinely love this work.

We don't just prepare children for kindergarten. We shape their early identity as confident, joyful learners using a nationally recognized, research-backed curriculum called Tools of the Mind.

Enrolling now for Fall 2026.

This week we're reading The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. 🔵

A girl thinks she can't draw until her teacher simply says: "Make a mark and see where it takes you." A dot becomes a masterpiece. A hesitant student becomes an artist.

Every child has something to say. We just give them the space to say it. ✨

There’s something about New York that you can’t quite put into words, you feel it. In the rhythm of the streets, in the sound of a guitar, in the everyday moments that turn into something memorable.

Right outside the subway, one of our guitarists brought that energy to life with a simple song we wrote ourselves. People passing by, the city moving, and for a moment, everything slows down just enough to listen.

At NY Preschool and Kids Club, we believe learning and creativity don’t live in just one place. They show up everywhere, in music, in movement, and in the world around us. This is what it looks like when creativity meets the rhythm of New York. 🎶

This week's craft: Flower Vases. 🌸

We cut vase shapes out of cardboard, poked holes through them, and then stuck real flowers through each one. Simple in concept. Beautiful in result.

And the fine motor work happening while little fingers thread stems through tiny holes? That's big skills being quietly built. 💪
