Saturday May 4, 2022
7:40am meetup @ GWB Fort Lee side.

We will be heading north to explore the beautiful town of Tarrytown, NY. We are planning to grab some food and just enjoy the scenic views on the coastline. But before we can stuff our face, we will need to work hard for it.

We will first start off and enjoy a nice cruise to Nyack for pre-birthday ride and we will split off from there. We will head over the Cuomo Bridge and merge onto the North County Trail where we will take that to our half way point, Croton Dam, to enjoy the view and take in the fresh air Upstate has to offer.

This is a SOFT DROP ride geared for someone looking to bang out their first century to the ones looking to get a good workout by attacking hills and strips they are looking to conquer. Just know that this is a group ride and we will finish as a group.

PACE: 18mph minimum on flats / Take hills as hard or as easy as you please.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Bring a small bottle of pickle juice if you have history of cramps.
- BCAA will work & hydration supplement.
- Carry some snacks or gels. (Intake 30+ grams carbs per hour.)
- Intake a protein shake with 25+ grams of protein at rest stops.
- Up your sugar level.
- ETC ETC ETC

REGROUP:
- Ontop of every big hills.
- Before every turn.

Hope to see you there !

Ahh it’s time to earn your Turkey guys, but slowly, under the same training philosophy as described in “Prospect Park Morning Nap Laps 1:2”

Today we’re headed to Boxer Donut, straight up through Rockland Lake, through the quaint town of Congers, across a beautiful lake where we’ll be surrounded by water on all sides (and beat to death by headwinds, crosswinds, tailwinds, and perhaps even one from the fourth dimension), and then straight down through the DEEP backroads of 9W, before reconnecting with the famous road itself at some point just past Kiku.

LOGISTICS:

1. Meet at SB @ 8:20, rolling out at 8:30 sharp

2. Maintain a steady 2.4-2.7 W/kg, yielding a 16mph net ride average

3. Grab food, drinks n chill for ~20-30 mins @ Boxer Donut4. Hit the lake, the backroads, and back home!

WARNINGS:
1. We plan to stop ONCE today @ Boxer Donut, this is @ mi.18. And with 32 additional miles, we feel this is reasonable consuming 1 bottle per hour. HOWEVER, if general consensus says we take another water stop, there are PLENTY of delis and stores through the backroads on the way back.

2. Having the GPX/TCX on your head unit is merely suggested on this ride due to pace
