All Heart Fit is my attempt at reaching the everyday person—the man or woman who doesn’t get the attention but is out there, yes, every day, working hard to take care of those they love. Maybe they don't have perfect bodies. Maybe they have some weight to lose. But they are people who give it their all—and they understand the benefits of fitness! Whether the goal is to excel in particular sports o
r just to improve health and vitality by regularly going to the gym, All Heart wants to help them reach their full physical potential. All Heart also wants to represent people with disabilities. We support all groups that participate in the Special Olympics, including our wounded warriors and veteran members of the Armed Services as a whole. These are the people we want to highlight, to show to the world as great examples of strivers after health and fitness. We want to participate in their lives and their journeys. We want to know what motivates them, what moves them both athletically and even emotionally. We want to show people the road to full physical fitness and soundness of both body and mind. I have been a personal trainer for over 20 years, and I have been “into” fitness for over 30. I always played sports and had lots of fun doing it, but I was never the best player on the court or the field. I often was, however, the most dependable and consistent player around, just as I am as dependable, consistent, and hardworking as any of my competitors. Of course, some days are better than others—but I have always stuck to my plan. I am now a father of two boys, the older of whom has Down Syndrome. He has made me a better person in so many ways already. If I can describe his beauty and his journey in life, maybe one day I will be able to pass on a successful All Heart Fit franchise that can serve as his business and provide him with a life’s work. I owe him that much, for all he has done for me.
