I don't think people realize how little it matters when it comes to posting frequency on Instagram when it comes to growing your online business.

We often get caught up in thinking that posting 5-7 days a week is the key to growing an engaged audience of ideal clients, but the truth is, it's just a small piece of the puzzle. What really matters is having a private community where you focus on deeply nurturing your ideal clients and give them a sample of what working with you would feel like ✨️

I've seen so many people struggle with getting clients because they're focusing too much on what to post on Instagram to make a sale and neglecting true community building in a private group that gets to know you and your brand on a deeper level. Don't get me wrong, posting great content on Instagram has it's place, but it's not the be-all and end-all 🙌

When we shift our focus to building a community that knows, likes and trusts you on a deeper level than social media can allow, that's when the real magic happens 🧚‍♀️ That's when we start to see dream clients asking us how they can work with us and signing up for our offers as soon as we post the link to buy 💸

So, let's refocus our attention on what really matters and stop putting so much weight on making sure we post to Instagram 3-5 times per week. You might be surprised at how much easier it is to get clients when you do.

You've been lied to, lovely, but I'm here to set that straight...

You will always struggle to book dream clients if they have no way of knowing what working with you would be like for them and what type of results you can help them achieve.

Engagement is fine if that's your thing, but it's like getting to know a new friend. You like them, but you are not going to fully trust them, let alone invest thousands of dollars into them, until you've really built a relationship and that just does not happen through the DMs.

I tried it for a little over a year and my result was zero clients and hundreds of hours of frustration and considering giving up on my business. Then I tried a micro-offer and just like that I had my first client.

I kept testing it out and more clients came. This process WORKS because it focuses on building REAL relationships, not just having nice conversations in the DMs.

You know your offer can change her life, but your ideal clients just can't see it...

There's so much noise in the online space about what's working, what's not, and that feeling of being left behind kicks in hard so you try to keep up with all these new strategies, but end up feeling burned out and discouraged because none of these strategies are working for you...

The truth is that all of these strategies work for someone, but there is no such thing as a strategy that works for everyone, but there is a way around this to find what works best for you and your brand 🥰

Two things that every single business needs to thrive...

💗 Trust and authenticity 💗

Feeling like you have to force yourself to post on Instagram, email your list, or hop on stories to talk to your community is the sign that you're not being your authentic self...

You're community can see and feel how "off" this feels for you which makes them feel less trusting of your brand so they don't buy or even engage with you because something just doesn't feel right...

Getting caught up in finding the strategy that will work best for you is the real issue and this is pulling the YOU out of your business.

If you're a personal brand, you need to get clear on what feels good for you when it comes to how you show up for your community.

"You just need to improve your content strategy," they said 🙄

No, content was definitely not the problem here, and I learned that after almost one year of posting high-quality content that my ideal clients LOVED, but still did not buy my offers.

The real problem was that they just did not feel connected enough to me to trust me to give them the transformation they would be buying.

Showing some BTS in my stories, starting conversations in the DMs and posting all the important types of content you've heard of: activation, agitation, authority-building, problem-aware, solution-aware...yeah, it's a lot... they still did not buy

Once, I decided to give someone an opportunity to work with me at a higher level for a very brief time (typically 1-2 sessions) for an entry-level price...the game changed

I was, of course, told that I'm undervaluing my work, but the truth is I was developing a sales strategy...

This micro-offer became my "trust-building offer" and it's point was not to be a huge profit generator in my business, rather it was meant to be a huge lead generator and sales tool for filling the REAL money-making offer in my business!

So the end result: this micro-offer, while very inexpensive, led to my first $3000 package being sold so much easier! For me, that was well worth the extra 1-4 hours of work for a smaller fee to know how likely it was to book a client for a full package shortly after or even have clients that deeply trusted me and would buy within a few months 🙌

Getting your first clients feels impossible...

…I bought all the courses, hopped on the Instagram reels trend, made value-packed carousels that could get you results if implemented, but still could not book one client 😮‍💨

I used to think if I kept posting every day providing tons of value and keeping up with online marketing trends while engaging to build relationships with ideal clients, that I would ultimately build an audience and get fully booked - and if you’re reading this, you may relate.

But after almost 1 YEAR of seeing very minimal signs of success, I stopped following the strategies that felt wrong to me and was only doing because I was told THIS is what you do to book your first clients. I knew if I DIDN’T make that change?

Well, I’d still be running tirelessly on the content creation hamster wheel, spamming poor unsuspecting ideal clients in the DMs that either ignored me or ghosted before a sales call, and feeling like a complete failure because all this time and effort to create my dream business was only making me miserable and hate the business I was creating 😨

So I followed my instinct and stopped engaging & DMing altogether, unless someone showed interest in talking to me first. To build an audience that REALLY trusts me enough to buy a higher ticket offer from a new online coach, I had to show them what I could do for them with minimal risk for them. This is why doing free sessions for testimonials for people you cold DM, DOES NOT WORK...

They aren't truly committed to the process. They simply take the free offer because who doesn't like something for free? If they pay a tiny amount for a high-value transformation that expects a huge ROI on that small investment and it's all in one condensed container...it's a win for everyone 🙌💵

They get amazing results & you build a loyal audience who wants to buy everything you create 💰💸
