33 today. 🥳
Another year, another reminder: wealth is more than money.

Which of these lessons do you need most right now?

here’s the thing no one tells you about money growth:
it’s not about whether you can spend it.
it’s about whether you can let yourself.

because it’s not the movers, or the nesting party, or even the designer that stretched me.
it was the part where I had to let go of control, let people in, and trust that it wouldn’t all fall apart if I wasn’t the one taping every single box.

so yeah… uncomfortable? absolutely.
worth it? every time.

✨ what’s something you thought you’d never spend money on, but you’re glad you did?

Everyone’s got that one “cure” they swear by.
For us? It was Vicks.
Chest cold? Vicks.
Stuffed nose? Vicks.
Probably a broken heart? …don’t put it past us.

Money can work the same way, if you know how to use it off-label.

When we bought our house, we didn’t follow the rules.
We followed ourselves.
And no, it wasn’t reckless.
It was intentional, strategic, and totally tailored to our life (not someone else’s).

This isn’t about “throw out the rules.”
It’s about knowing which ones to break, and having the plan to back it up.

💬 Comment “VICKS” and I’ll send you my newsletter with more of this abuelita-approved, rule-breaking money energy.
👀 And make sure you follow .coaching so you never miss the next remedy.

Sometimes we treat our budget like it’s the law… instead of what it’s meant to be: a tool.

And when that happens? We can end up staying in situations (literal and figurative) that drain us just to “stick to the plan.”

This isn’t about money as much as it’s about trust.
Trusting yourself to pivot.
Trusting that you can make a different decision without it meaning you “failed.”

Because peace, comfort, and joy?
They’re worth protecting, even if it costs a little more.

What’s one time you wish you’d given yourself permission to change the plan?

Ever swipe your card and think, “okay… this wasn’t exactly in the budget”?
Yeah, same. And 9 times out of 10, it’s not about the purchase...it’s about the feeling you’re chasing.

So tell me 👀 👂 im listening (and reading lol) what was your last purchase that came as a result of emotional spending?

This is the real behind-the-scenes of how the Anti-Discipline Method came to life.

At one point, 97% of new clients were telling me the same thing:
“I just don’t have discipline.”

And that’s when I had to get real curious…

What does “discipline” actually mean to people?

Because 97% of my clients are BIPOC...and a huge number are Latino.
And speaking from experience?
Discipline didn’t mean structure or support.
It meant fear. Guilt. Getting in trouble.
(And sometimes, la chancla.) 😅

Turns out… my clients were in the same boat.

That’s why I created the Anti-Discipline Method —
Not just to help you manage money…
But to help you unlearn what financial “discipline” has meant for you.
(Because let’s be real… it doesn’t work.)

You don’t need more willpower.
You need a system that helps you feel safe, in control, and confident, without shame.

If the word “discipline” has ever made you shrink, flinch, or spiral…you might need this method too.

👇 Tell me what discipline meant in your house growing up. 🩴

Let’s be real… most budgeting advice just throws numbers at you and expects you to become a whole new person overnight.

But you don’t need a personality transplant.
You need a system that actually works with your real life — not the fantasy version of you who meal preps perfectly, never forgets a transaction, and somehow always has “extra.”

Money gets messy. Life stays chaotic. And your budget should be able to hold all of that, without making you feel like you’re failing just for being human.

You deserve a system that lets you pause, pivot, and come back without the shame spiral.

So if your budget keeps falling apart every time life does its thing?

It’s not because you’re doing it wrong. It’s just because something’s missing.

No one talks about how budgeting makes you feel like you’re failing at adulthood, even when you’re doing “everything right.”

You open the app. You plug in your numbers. You cut the latte.
And somehow… it still doesn’t feel good.

No one ever told you that the reason you’re pulling from savings, feeling anxious, or falling off after 2 weeks isn’t because you’re undisciplined.
It’s because budgeting without context, without your actual life in the picture, is a setup.

Your values aren’t “bad spending habits.” They’re just inconvenient to a system that was never built for you in the first place.

And once you see that… it changes everything.

Send this to someone who needs this perspective.

I wasn’t behind.
I was just using a budget that wasn’t built for me.

Back when I was pregnant with Amara, I had this moment, like, full-body nope.
I knew the system I was using wasn’t going to work once baby arrived.
Not because I wasn’t disciplined enough. Not because I was “bad with money.”
But because the time, mental load, and pressure that budget demanded?
It was unsustainable.

And if I’m honest… I never even chose that system.
I just copied something I was handed, made it fancier, and kept going out of habit.

Most of us do that, especially if we grew up thinking budgeting was just about tracking, cutting, and hoping it works.

No one ever asked us:
👉 “Does this way of doing money actually work for you?”
👉 “Does it match your life, your values, your brain, your family?”

So here’s me asking you that now. Because if budgeting makes you feel like you’re constantly behind…
maybe it’s not you.
Maybe it’s the system.

Comment “ME” if you’ve ever blamed yourself for not budgeting “right.”

It’s wild looking back because what felt like a small decision at the time turned out to be a huge act of self-trust.

I didn’t burn out.
I didn’t hit a wall.
I just knew things were going to shift once Amara came.
And instead of waiting to “fail” at a system I already felt shaky in…
I gave myself permission to pivot early.

That part is what I’m proud of.
The pause.
The reflection.
The “wait… do I even want to do this anymore?”

And honestly… I was right.
This baby keeps me BUSY.
And I’m grateful every day I didn’t cling to a method just because it looked good on paper.

If you feel the nudge to change something… even if it’s working “fine”… you don’t need a breakdown to validate the shift.
You can just choose different.
That counts too.

What’s one part of your money routine that’s quietly not working anymore?
Drop it in the comments… or just leave a 🔥 if you’re in your “this isn’t it” era.
