3 SPARRING TIPS for BEGINNERS 🥊
Conditioning is arguably the most important variable to having a good sparring session and to an extent this is true.
Do not use sparring for your own personal conditioning without road work, that is selfish. Instead, try holding yourself accountable by getting your miles in before sparring and completing 3 rounds whenever you step in that ring. You show respect for yourself and your opponent by showing up as your best and if you fall short that’s ok.
Lastly, if you are new to sparring this is a rule every boxer must live by, protect yourself at all times, this means stopping a sparring match if you’re partner is trying to k*ll you or has lied about their weight etc.. there is no shame when it comes to looking out for yourself.
