Robert Redick asked his Summer Intensive Session 3 dancers to set the tone for their week with just one word. As they went around the circle, we couldn’t help but feel inspired by the enthusiasm, maturity, and gratitude all these dancers showed their peers and faculty.

Robert brings a distinct ease to the studios⚡️which allows his dancers to speak and move freely and authentically. His personality shines through his choreography and his warm, constructive teaching style encourages EVERYONE to take that leap of faith and try new things.

The STEPS LEGACY SERIES ⭐️ Generations of families have danced through the studios at 2121 Broadway. We celebrate over 45 years of serving our community and the families who’ve grown alongside us.

The love is generational ♥️ Nancy Bielski has been teaching professional ballet at Steps on Broadway for over 30 years. When her daughter, Sophie Alpern, takes her class with HER two daughters, Lulu and Sadie, watching from the sidelines, everything seems to fall into place.🫂

Lulu and Sadie are currently enrolled in the Steps Academy’s First Steps program. They’re the next generation of dancers, one step behind Grandma and Mom. “Watching my mom take class, it’s kind of like me imagining to be in that class and learning how to do all those things. It’s very fun!” — Lulu🫶

As we’re one week out from the start of the Academy’s academic year, we can’t wait to welcome dancers and families back to the studios. Here’s to the next generation finding their own place in the Steps legacy. ♥️

Elite Dance Intensive - The Steps on Broadway Academy

These four Pre-Professional dancers moved with grace, fluidity, and fearlessness when performing Jourdan Epstein’s Phases as their culminating piece for Elite Dance Intensive.

The intricate details woven in with the girls’ musicality made every transition seamless, and the circular quality of the choreography and movement showcased their talent naturally.

Georgina Pazcoguin’s choreography brought serious power to the studio with distinguished shapes, contour, and control. The EDI dancers painted the room with a captivating energy that locked our eyes on every detail, and the uniformity added the perfect elevated touch.⭐️
