We offer Historical European Swordsmanship training in New York City. It's easy to get started, visit our website and begin your journey today! GETTING STARTED

The best starting point would be one of our Fundamentals Classes — these are accessible to students of all levels of experience, and do not require special gear. Some classes, such as Langes Messer, Dueling Workshops, and LED Saber welcome

new/beginner students and require no special gear to get started. We recommend taking at least 4-8 Fundamentals classes to anyone who has never done Historical European Martial Arts before, even if you have taken classes in foil or epee fencing or other kinds of martial arts. What a special weekend full of surprises!

"I'm back baby!" - after a seven week sabbatical, we are so excited for return to teaching our butt-kicking Sword Fitness and Bauernwehr classes 💪💪💪

A special thanks and shout out to Arzang for making our first wooden machete trainer by hand! Such an amazing gift we are honored to receive!

Despite the bitter cold here in NYC we had a very full Bauernwehr class, including some new comers: welcome Cara, Sophie, and Al!

We here at Gotham Bauernwehr are lucky to have such great friends and collaborators at up in Tilton, NH! It is such an honor to share our arts and train together. Here, our respective mascots got to meet for the first time!

Beginning Feb 14th our Bauernwehr classes will transition to two hours blocks, so sign up now to reserve your spot!..

Schedule Updates! Beginning in February we are shifting to one (1) session of Bauernwehr per week.
This single session replaces both the Skills and Applications classes, and will run for two (2) hours.

This change allows us to continue operating in our current time slot (Sat., 12:30-2:30PM) while simplifying the signup process.
