Video editing has become increasingly popular and Kim K’s recent Skims Advert is proof of this!

Editing videos are just as easy as editing images, whether it’s pinching in someone’s waist, smoothing their skin or making their muscles look bigger (yep it happens!) these alterations are happening daily on people’s bodies for us all to view believing they are real and then once again judging ourselves based on these edited versions.

But it doesn’t just happen to women’s bodies, it’s everyones! And we probably don’t speak enough about how much this can affect men too!

Men’s fitness magazine’s for example, are covered in highly edited imagery displaying ‘leaner and bigger muscles’ making a lot of men feel inadequate if they don’t look similar - Just like how women feel!

So make sure you remember that what may look deceivingly real can be extremely fake!

😍 Self-esteem starts with opening your eyes and taking yourself as you are. Not worse, not better. Real.

Last year I started with admitting: I’m 40 pounds overweight. That was not a negative self-talk, because I didn’t humiliate myself with rude definitions, I was honest and specific.

Admitting, that I have cellulite is not a negative self-talk.
Admitting, that I have stretch marks is not a negative self-talk.
Admitting, that I can’t do even one pull-up is not a negative self-talk.

It is a real talk.

Weight, height, measurements, skills or inabilities are just facts. You can work on this data only if you accept it and only if you want to.

That’s like a picture: today I’m XYZ, but if I want I can change it, and if I can’t, I’ll change my attitude.

We can change, I always say this.

We can change the body.

We can change the mindset.

This is that kind of positivity I believe in.
