You’ve heard it before, but here’s the twist:
Some distractions are good. It’s good to go out sometimes, it’s good to date because you never know who will pop up. It’s fun to try things.. if you starve yourself completely you’ll wither away, you’ll miss out on life but take control of these things.
Set boundaries around them. Recreational behavior is fine, but don’t get attached. Stay strong, increase your emotional fitness in order to maintain your balance, stay focused when it’s time to stay focused and enjoy on your down time.
Life is a continual balance. Nothing is bad, what’s bad is the attachment and co dependency we put on items, people, substances, things, activities etc… take back control, set boundaries with yourself and get to work.
Anything can be managed, know what you can handle and start there. Rewiring is a real thing… anything is possible.
