Often times you’ll see people training the kettlebell swing with far too many reps for their current capacity.
If you haven’t mastered one rep, there’s no reason to be attempting 15 consecutively.
What’s the fix?
Use the dead stop swing. It allows you to treat every rep as its own set.
The goal is to make each rep look almost identical to the next while refining your technique, timing, and power output.
Instead of rushing through fatigue, you’re giving yourself the opportunity to reset, stay organized, and build better movement quality with every rep.
Next time you work on swings, try the dead stop method and pay attention to how much cleaner your form feels by the end of the session.
Or come to Harlem Kettlebell Club and we’ll get you up to speed pretty quickly.
