Maria Holm Maria Holm, L2 SMT GYROTONIC® GYROKINESIS® methods, based in NYC. Owner of Soho, NYC Two time recipient of the Swedish Carina Ari Award.

Maria Holm, a native of Sweden, where she received her BFA in Dance, Dance Education and Fine Arts from The Swedish University College of Dance, Stockholm, Sweden, in 1986. She has performed and taught extensively as a professional dancer and teacher in Sweden, and throughout Europe and the US for over three decades. Living and working in New York City, she has been on faculty at ABT’s annual Coll

egiate and Summer Intensive courses since 2005. She teaches out of her studio in Soho, NYC, and travels for Courses, Retreats and Workshops. Maria started teaching the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Methods in 1999, and has been working with Movement Beyond since it’s foundation in 2002. Maria started her own exploration of the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® at the system’s creator, Juliu Horwath’s White Cloud Studio, in New York City, in 1994. She was named GYROTONIC® Pre-Trainer 2003, is a GYROTONIC® GYROKINESIS® Master Trainer. GYROTONIC®, GYROKINESIS®, GYROTONIC®and EXPANSION SYSTEM® are registered trademarks of Gyrotonic Sales Corp and are used with their permission.
