R.I.P to Jamaican racing legend Peter Moodie Sr.
This picture form Nov. 2019 South Dakota Racing Citcuit demonstrates the kind of person he was.
We were preparing for a race event a few days early and of course he was there prepping his team early as he always did.
My buddy Neal asked me to take his rear wheel drive Civic for a test drive as he had just put it together and needed a second opinion on setup. The car drove like crap... it didn't go unnoticed.
Peter called me aside and asked if he could take a look at the car. It didn't take him long to notice that an upper control arm was hung up in the chassis due to a strut tower modification - throwing off the setup. The car was basically undriveable at speed and his eagle eye caught the problem immediately.
That is just one of the many times he had offered tips or advice or loaned me a spare.
I will especially miss the chats at Dover in the days leading up to a meet when his was the only team at the facility practicing. I've learned a lot about his methodology and have seen positive results from emulating his attention to detail.
He will be sorely missed by the Jamaican racing fraternity.
Heartfelt condolences to the family and all others who are mourning his untimely passing.

Been sitting on this 4P motor long enough. Time to get it assembled in preparation for the 2021 season.
Took a break from all things racing to set up an additional income stream.
Now that the truck is up and running I can afford to spend some time on the Coupe.
