It’s 9AM and you just set your things down at the barre.
Company class starts at 9:45AM. You confidently think to yourself, “Plenty of time to do a full warm-up.”
You’re not really sure how to, “begin” this warm-up. So, you just sit in a comfortable straddle on the floor, scrolling through your phone mindlessly.
It’s 9:15AM. Maybe you’ve done some theraband exercises for your feet & ankles, but the rest of your body still feels ice cold. You find yourself continuously getting distracted, taking away from your warm-up time.
Now it’s 9:30AM. You panick thinking to yourself, “Crunches. I gotta get my core warm.” *Bangs out 20 random crunches* just enough to “feel” it and then stop and move on to sit in another static stretch position.
Your rehearsal director comes in, signifying that class is about to begin.
Crap. Already?!
You stand up feeling:
❌ Not all your muscles warmed up
❌ Not mentally focused & centered
