A little post swim wrap up. Lake Memphremagog Border Buster was a beautiful beast. I don’t think I could have done it without the amazing support of my kayaker, Rick Ufford-Chase. We just met yesterday and he guided me through seamlessly. Every feed, every encouraging word, all while being tossed around in the wind, was spot on and just what I needed. So Rick, thank you. Phil White and Kingdom Swims, thank you for hosting such an amazing event. And all the volunteers that gave up their free time to support us crazy swimmers, thank you.💙

Early tomorrow (Saturday) I start a journey from the US to Canada and back in the waters of Lake Memphremagog. The 25k group swim will take place starting at 5:30am ET. 30 swimmers, 30 support kayakers, and many more volunteers come together to make this possible. (Along with swimmers doing the 10-mile, 10k, 5k, and 1-mile, all starting at different times). This is an amazing event with a lot of coordination. Hats off to Phil White and crew that make it happen.

Oh, and you can track me here:

I can’t believe a week has gone by so quickly. This was definitely an eye-opening experience. Training all week with water temps ranging from 50°-57° was a great challenge. I can’t wait to come back next year and complete my 6-hour qualifier by going around the island. I will miss you Sandycove, and all the wonderful, warm people in the water and out💙. And thank you, Ned Denison.

So my 2022 season kicks into high gear with a training camp. Cork, here I come. I am a newbie. Be gentle. Be tough. Let me know what I’m capable of in the water and out.
