Senator Momo T. Cyrus Donates Sporting Materials to LFA for Lofa District League

Voinjama, Lofa County Lofa County Senator, Hon. Momo T. Cyrus has donated sporting materials to the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Lofa County chapter for the upcoming District League.

The donation was made on September 7 during the official turnover ceremony held in Voinjama.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Superintendent of Lofa County, Hon. J. Lavelah Massaquoi, disclosed that in this year's edition, all electoral districts will stand on their own. He urged sports stakeholders to remain committed to the development of sports in the county. He also disclosed that kickball will be included in this year's edition.

Speaking during the event, the Chief of Office Staff to Senator Momo Tarnuekollie Cyrus, Mr. Arthur Kowah, on behalf of the Senator, presented 2 million Liberian Dollars to support the upcoming District League. The donation included 12 sets of jerseys, 22 footballs, and a trophy .

Meanwhile, Superintendent Massaquoi has appointed Mr. Jusu Fambulleh* as Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the upcoming District League.

The District League is expected to kick off soon in Lofa County.

County Meet Scandal: Sports Ministry Admits Lofa Was Wrongfully Disqualified

Lofa Countyโ€™s elimination from the football competition at the 2025-26 National County Sports Meet stood only because a committee exceeded its authority, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has found, eight months after the tournament ended and too late to restore the matches the county lost.
