ANNOUNCING OPEN TRYOUTS FOR 2027 SFX HUSKIES TRAVEL BASEBALL….RSVP REQUIRED

SFX Youth Sports is pleased to announce open tryouts for our 2027 Huskies Travel Baseball program. This program is open to athletes ages 8-15 (player’s age as of April 30, 2027). Registration via the RSVP link below is required at https://bit.ly/2027huskiestryouts.

AGES 8U-11U
All tryouts will take place at Parkville Baseball Field (854 65th Street Brooklyn NY). Evening sessions will be under the lights.

8U | born 5/1/18- 4/30/19 | Thu 11/5 @ 5PM OR Sun 11/8 @ 10AM
9U | born 5/1/17- 4/30/18 | Thu 11/5 @ 630PM OR Sun 11/8 @ 12PM
10U | born 5/1/16- 4/30/17 | Tue 11/10 @ 5PM OR Sat 11/14 @ 10AM
**11U | born 5/1/15-4/30/16 | no tryouts planned, but see below
Callbacks for ages 8, 9 & 10 will be Saturday 11/14 between 12-6PM.
Players must bring their own batting helmet, glove, bat (metal or wood) and wear shoes suitable for a grass/dirt field. Each tryout session is 90 minutes.
All interested players should select one tryout date via the RSVP link: https://bit.ly/2027huskiestryouts.

AGES 12U-15U
Tryouts will take place at either Red Hook Ballfield 9 (turf field with lights on Bay St) OR Parade Grounds 3 (grass/dirt field with lights).

12U | born 5/1/14-4/30/15 | Tue 11/10 @ 6PM (RH9) OR Thu 11/12 @ 6PM (PG3)
13U | born 5/1/13-4/30/14 | Tue 11/3 @ 6PM (RH9) OR Thu 11/12 @ 730PM (PG3)
**14U | born 5/1/12-4/30/13 | see below
*15 U | born 5/1/11-4/30/12 | Tue 11/10 @ 8PM (RH9) OR Thu 11/12 @ 730PM (PG3)
*This team will also try out players who are in 9th Grade in the 2026-27 academic year since they are eligible to play high school baseball.
Players must bring their own batting helmet, glove, bat (metal or wood) and wear shoes suitable for each field surface (only turf shoes are allowed on Red Hook fields).

As the Little League World Series comes to a close, we want to give a huge shoutout to our Brooklyn West Little League All-Stars, who made an incredible run all the way to the District Championship Game! ⚾🏆

The team was proudly represented by several of our 11U and 12U Huskies and led by our 11U Head Coach, Jesus Estaba.

What an epic walk off HomeRun by Dylan “The Terminator” Vasquez!! Broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 7th inning with 2 outs and 1 strike-against a flame thrower pitcher. A dead center bomb! 💣💪🏼 A moment that helped catapult the 11u Huskies to another tournament championship!
