My sunshine boy

We started singing “Happy Birthday” to Jadey and getting him a cake every month on the 14th since the first month he was born. We used that same #1 candle for his birthday. The most beautiful part of these clips for me is that I kiss him at the same part of the song both times. 11 months apart, but always our baby. Happy birthday to the light of our lives.

Thank you body, I love you. You made my son. You healed. You got stronger. You carried me today. You carry me every day. I was overwhelmed with emotion at the end of yesterday’s race because I am so grateful for this body. I am also so grateful for my husband for being my rock in this season and running by my side every moment, every step you are my everything 🤎

I can’t believe this isn’t forever. Just when we made it to the best days of my life. But I am also so grateful he gets to grow, that we get to age, and that he gets to become more of the person he wants to become every single day.
