Truth is, unless you are chasing superior strength or athletic performance your workout never has to โ€œkill youโ€ to be effective๐Ÿ”‘. In fact, most people would benefit from smart and specific workout plans and quality recovery time ๐Ÿ˜ดmuch more than many of these intense generalized classes and training routines๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

I started with my first nutrition coach at age 15๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿผ, I had been dancing ten hour days ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ and hadnโ€™t had my period for two years๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป I was worried, and I sought help and advice๐Ÿ”ญHer response? โ€œThatโ€™s normal for ballerinas at your school, donโ€™t worry about itโ€๐Ÿ™ƒ I left that day with one piece of advice, the fruit smoothies I had been making daily had too much sugar and I should cut them out of my diet๐Ÿ‡ That left me with my 1 daily oat bar and nightly vegetable bowl, and nothing else๐ŸงŠ

From ballet & anorexia/bulimia -> recovery weight gain and eating max 1200 calories/day -> me now, lifting, going on adventures, & eating about 2k calories per day ๐ŸŒป

I was talking with one of my training + nutrition clients the other day and opened up a bit about my personal journey with weight training, nutrition, and overall health. โ˜€๏ธ That conversation made me realize that sharing my story and experiences can make a difference in other peopleโ€™s lives and hiding it isnโ€™t the brave thing to do but, actually, the opposite๐Ÿ™ƒ
