Well well well, after a bit of a break AnglingwithAdam and I visited the Mississippi River and kicked off our 2026 tournament season with the Aim Pro Walleye Series! Practice conditions were not favorable, cold, wind, rain, and even a touch of hail! (It was small, no big deal… 😂) No surprise this time of year, the pool was absolutely packed with boats! Thank goodness for the Conger Meat Market jerky for keeping us going! We managed one fish Thursday, a couple, on Friday, and Saturday, we had the making of a pattern with a really solid bag! Walleyes are notoriously here today, gone tomorrow fish, and rivers add a multiplier to that that can not be over stated! You can probably guess what’s coming next. 👀😥 Derby day graced us with one small walleye. So, not happy, not really disappointed, as we learned a lot as we always do. Now we focus on the next event! Lake Winnibigoshish! Very excited to get back on a lake, where we are both much more comfortable! Thanks for all the calls, texts, and words of encouragement throughout the week. It means a lot.
