Solid golf by our players today. Windy, early season conditions are challenging. On we go👊🏼

On a gusty day that lowered just about everyone’s season averages, low and steady led the Sleepy Eye United freshman duo of Nolan Kucera and Anders Coulson to the top.
Kucera, Coulson and Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther senior Gavin Kester all turned in 84s at Mayflower Golf Club on Wednesday, tying for first place individually in the first leg of the Tomahawk-Valley Conference Boys Golf Tournament.
The SEU boys lead the way after Leg 1, followed by Alden-Conger.

How you practice matters! When you're making swing improvements, your focus should be on LEARNING, not result.

Learning is hard, and it takes a lot of brainpower! If your brain is too locked in on the results of your shots, it'll be more difficult to incorporate the changes you're making.

There are many ways to practice, so ensuring that your environment matches your goals is important! If you're making changes, SLOW reps help your brain feel the patterns and movements in you swing.

Swing changes are like adding a new scheme or play during basketball practice. At first, you walk through the play to understand the movements, playing positions, and timing involved. Then as it's understood and becomes more natural, you increase the speed until you're game-ready. Same process here.
