We've got some exciting news to share! The new Communication Board donated by Tavern 507 has been installed in Hermann Heights Park!

A Communication Action Board is a visual tool designed to support individuals who, for various reasons, experience challenges expressing themselves verbally, so they use symbols, pictures, and action cues to help communicate needs, feelings, and requests. The board ensures everyone can participate in community spaces!

Thank you to all who joined us for Line Dancing in German Park last night! We hope you had as much fun as us! If you missed this one, no worries! We are having another session July 20 at 6 p.m.! It’s a great workout as well!

Thank you to all who participated in the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce's Poker walk last week and came to visit us at the SouthPoint Recreation and Wellness Center! You are brave souls for walking in the very sticky, hot, humid and rainy day! Most people claimed Flandrau State Park, Washington and German Parks are the favorites of those participating in the walk! When asked if you could add 1 thing to the Park and Rec system, most people were stumped because we have so much already! Thank you again for participating!!!
