Another successful UMD Team Camp in the books. King of the Hill topped it off, with our JV squad finishing 2nd out of 10 teams, falling to Marshall in the championship. Varsity competed at a high level as well, falling just short of the semifinal play-ins. Kids had a blast, and we grew as a team both in our physical development as well as making memories and building brotherhood that will extend into the season. Proud of this group for committing the last three days of their summer to developing as student athletes and football players. 🦅 🏈

Congrats, Isaiah!

Two weeks ago, New Ulm High School’s Isaiah Friese, a senior to be for the Eagles, attended the University of Minnesota Football camp where he talked with University of North Dakota football coaches.
Friese, who is 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, said that one big reason he signed with the Fighting Hawks was because he really loved the coaching staff and the program.

Congrats to the 4x200 team of Hunter, George, Jamison, and Michael, 3 of whom are football players. Special congrats to George on setting a school record in the 400.

New Ulm’s George Gag and Michael Hames had standout performances in the Section 2AA Track and Field Championships Friday at Gustavus Adolphus College, with both qualifying for state individually and being part of the state-qualifying 4x200-meter relay team.
