The latest addition of U.S. Practical Shooting Assn. (USPSA) magazine was a good read. Specifically the section regarding volunteers. The sport is definitely growing in number of shooters but doesn’t seem to have the same growth in volunteers. Step up, ask what you can do to help out, get involved.

We could use a few more hands at the range tomorrow if anyone has some time to spare. We will be building/repairing walls and props, painting, ect. Starting at 8:30am.

Area 8 Members: We have a number of RO classes on the east coast in the coming months. Plenty of slots available in each of these classes.

USPSA and SCSA can't exist without trained officials. And the more certified officials we have at matches, the better those matches are for everyone. So let's fill these classes! Some clubs, including YPS, offer a free level 1 match entry for everyone who passes an RO or CRO class (good for 1 year after the date of the class).

Hello All.
Registration for the March match will be open this weekend. The range is drying up nicely so as long as mother nature stays in a good mood, we look forward to seeing everyone!

As we move into the 2026 season, please note the following information:

-You must be registered and approved to shoot in Practiscore prior to the match. We will do waitlist approvals up until 7pm the night before the match if there are withdraws. Keep an eye on your e-mail.

-No shows and habitual last minute withdraws will not be approved for future matches. We historically have a long waitlist and it is not fair for someone to miss out because you didn't take the time to withdraw.

-Make sure you are registering for the correct day. Saturday registration is for set up day. Sunday registration is for Sundays match.

-If you are a USPSA member, you MUST enter your member number when registering. Please verify it is correct and make any edits prior to match day.
