Attention local horse friends, Sue Cooper will be at Thunderhead Farm next Friday 6/26 - 6/28. Although Sue specializes in dressage, she has the ability and eye to teach all disciplines.

If this describes you at all, this would be a great opportunity to come and work with Sue.
- you need to get your horse off the property and into a different environment (the outdoor arena is groomed and the judge's booth has been de-birded:))
- run through a test in advance of a show goal
- need some help with basics and confidence for you and/or your horse
- having trouble with a specific movement

Sue is excellent at tailoring her teaching to her students (riders and horses). Confident or scared - you are sure to get some tools and exercises to help you and your horse!

Hello All! Sue Cooper will be at Thunderhead Farm for a riding clinic on Friday 4/17 - Saturday 4/18. I do have some riding slots available. It doesn't matter where you are on your journey, or what discipline are riding, Sue will be able to help you and your horse.

It's also a great time to get your horse off of the property :)

Ok horse friends, although we don’t host shows or do boarding anymore, that doesn’t mean that we aren’t still obsessed with and passionate about horses. I am now just focused on my own.

The comfort and well being of our horses is first, and riding is the bonus. I always knew this, but am much more aware now. And.. the riding and training should be contributing to the comfort and well being of our horses. And here in lies the challenge 🙂

I just rediscovered yoga last week. Not only do I feel better after just 3 classes, my horses are already thanking me. It is my responsibility to be even, balanced, and fit in the saddle to help my horses, not the other way around. And therein lies the challenge… 🙂

Hello All and Happy Spring!! I haven’t posted on this site for a while but this year we will be getting back in the swing of some horse things at Thunderhead Farm!🙂

Susan Bennett Cooper will be giving a riding clinic at the farm on the weekend of April 18 (starting in the afternoon) through Sunday morning April 20th. Sue will be coming here on a regular basis through out the year so don’t think of this as a once and done opportunity 🙂

Sue has over 35 years of experience training horses from training level through Grand Prix. She works with all levels of riders, all breeds of horses, and remember dressage is good for every discipline!

If you are interested in riding with Sue, please send me a DM for more information. This is a great way to kick off your season with your horse!

Did I get your attention?!

We are having quite a time finding help at Thunderhead Lodge. We have an immediate opening for a server. This person needs to be dependable, hard working, strong, ability to multi-task, be a team player, and of course love food and drinks, and people :) Hmm, you know who fits into this category - horse women and men!!! And.. it's a pretty expensive habit that we all have so this would help pay for that habit.
