Lady Athletics Beat CGMS

Briar Miracle collected three hits in three at bats, as Lady Athletics defeated CGMS 7-3 on Monday. Miracle singled in the first inning, doubled in the second inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Lady Athletics got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Addison VanHuss tripled down the left field line, Addison D**e doubled down the right field line, Miracle singled down the right field line, and Natalie Fraley singled, each scoring one run.

VanHuss earned the win for Lady Athletics. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit and three runs over five innings, striking out eight. Kerlissa M took the loss for CGMS. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering seven runs on 15 hits, striking out one.

Lady Athletics accumulated 15 hits in the game. Fraley led Lady Athletics with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The infielder went 3-for-3 on the day. Fraley and Miracle each collected three hits for Lady Athletics. Karagan Watson and Kaelyn Seal each collected multiple hits for Lady Athletics. Fraley stole two bases. Lady Athletics didn't commit a single error in the field. Miracle had the most chances in the field with nine.

Ella G and Railynn L were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for CGMS. M led CGMS with one hit in three at bats. M and Rylee L each stole multiple bases for CGMS. CGMS stole seven bases in the game. CGMS were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. L had the most chances in the field with seven.

JV Lady Athletics Trounce CGMS JV

JV Lady Athletics easily dispatched CGMS JV on Monday, 9-2.

JV Lady Athletics got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kaelyn Seal singled, Victoria Spurlock singled, and Lady Athletics scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

JV Lady Athletics added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Mateyah Parker walked, Kennedy Howerton singled to left field, and Neely Johnson walked, each scoring one run.

JV Lady Athletics extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI walks by Spurlock and Adalyn Slusher.

Seal earned the win for JV Lady Athletics. The starter gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking one. Kenzleigh G started the game for CGMS JV. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking one.

Seal led JV Lady Athletics with two hits in two at bats. Johnson, Seal, Slusher, and Howerton each drove in one run for Lady Athletics. Lady Athletics had patience at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Johnson, Alexis Barnett, and Slusher led the team with two bases on balls each. Barnett stole two bases.

Ameria C led CGMS JV with one run batted in. The leadoff hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Bryleigh G and C each collected one hit for CGMS JV.

Yesterday, we celebrated our 8th-grade Lady Athletics. We are proud of their accomplishments and have enjoyed watching them grow during their time with us. Each one brings unique gifts to the team and will be deeply missed as they move on to high school next year. We look forward to seeing their future accomplishments!
